French house producer Leny Fluery A.K.A Lenski offers up ‘Indian Summer’ podcast for Free Download.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Lenski as he spent a year studying Music Production in UCLAN, Preston. In the year that I spent sharing an apartment with the French maestro, I got to witness the makings of a real developing talent.
In 3 months of his arrival he went from being the guy who brought his CD’s out with him on a night out hoping to convince resident DJ’s for a 20 minute slot to being one of the most sought after and well admired DJ’s on the Scene.
He became a regular on the roster of the city’s most prominent underground club nights such as ‘fam.’ and ‘Control’ at Glovers and Loft. He worked with brands like Zoo Project and FNR on request and even squeezed in a warm up show for Yuksek at the Deaf Institute in Manchester. Not too bad for a guy who could barely speak a word of English on arrival.
He’s now back in France perfecting his style of Feel-Good French funk and house, but he has promised to return to the North West with his bag full of tricks in 2014.
Combining a range of influences from House to Hip-Hop, Nu Disco to Deep and everything in-between , Lenski’s live set feeds from the crowd as an unscripted feel-good mashup with ducks and dives around every corner. Check out his ‘Indian Summer Podcast’ via the soundcloud link below. Nice work Lenski
